Reading Skills is the newest subsection of the IMAT, and unfortunately, since its inception in 2023, there have only been 3 questions issued in official IMAT papers. This limits the samples that students have to study. Fortunately, we’ve created this question bank so that you have plenty more questions to prepare for the IMAT this year!
What this section contains:

There are not many past IMAT questions for this section because the section was recently introduced. IMAT Past Papers are thus not enough to prepare you adequately for Reading Skills.
More Questions?
This section typically features 1 to 2 questions per test. Thus, it is not exactly a vital section for the IMAT. Nevertheless, the skills needed can be obtained relatively quickly, meaning you can potentially get easy marks here. Consider this section a good mark booster as opposed to a vital section of the IMAT.
The main type of questions is passage analysis questions, similar to those in Critical Thinking, but of a different style. The questions are less standardised and thus frequent practice is essential. There are also grammar-type questions, which can be in short form.
Yes!
You will first need to have completed the Reading Skills Theory Lessons so that you have learned the necessary content. After that, you can start whenever you like. Frequent practice is best, so try to space out the questions as opposed to doing the whole question bank all at once.
You can find more questions like these in our IMAT Simulators as well as in the quizzes of the theory lessons on Reading Skills.
