Last Update 17th December 2024
The results of the IMAT are finally out and the rankings have started. How the ranking works for you depends on your EU/non-EU status. EU students can find their rankings on Universitaly. Non-EU students can find their rankings on their university website or here in this article.
For EU candidates the process of scrolling has now started. This means that even if you did not secure a spot now, you may be able to secure a spot later on as the entry scores decrease. Please remember it is VITAL that you express interest in staying in the national ranking on Universitaly! If you forget to do this, you will be excluded from the ranking.
For non-EU candidates, there is no scrolling, and if you do not obtain a seat now, it is unlikely you will obtain one at all this year.
IMAT 2024 EU Cut-Offs
We will update this webpage as the scrolling continues, so make sure to check regularly if you are an EU student.

Some universities have seats reserved for their Marco Polo program. Below you will see which seats were given to students in Marco Polo this year. Note that the amount of reserved seats for Marco Polo can be higher than the number of seats given to students participating in this program.

EU IMAT Score
If you have achieved a score high enough to enter a university in the current round, you have the following options.
- If you achieved a passing score in your first choice university and wish to accept it, you must enrol as quickly as possible at your university. If you do not do this within the 4 business day limit, you will be removed from the ranking
- If you achieved a passing score for a university that was not your first choice university you can either accept this university within 4 business days OR
- You can choose to remain in the rankings and wait until a choice you put higher up becomes available.
Please note that if you do not express interest in remaining in the rankings you will be REMOVED from the rankings and will not be eligible for a seat. Below you can see where on Universitaly you can select to remain in the rankings
Non-EU IMAT Score
As a non-EU, you must first check if you have been selected to your first choice university (check the PDFs attached in the non-EU table). Then you can enrol to your first-choice university on the website of this university. Make sure to do this within the deadline!

Hi I passed to my first choice uni as an Eu and now I am getting all my documents to enrol until 15/10 . What exactly is the process for my enrolling ? And if you know until what time on the 15/10 will I be able to enrol
Congratulations!! You can enroll now (don’t wait), I suggest visiting their website and looking at their enrolments page. It is also a good idea to call their international students desk if you are unsure
Hi, do you think there is any chance with 42.2 to pass even in waitlist?
If I am making an honest prediction, I would say it is unlikely. However, make sure to remain in the rankings just in case.
What is the ranking of compania and I don’t find my result
Some universities were or still are late in their non-EU rankings release. I will update the list as more is released
63.2
Hi! I’m confused on how to enroll as EU. My status says booked on Universitaly, meaning I have a seat in a university that is not my first choice right? I plan on seeing how the scrolling goes, but let’s say I wanted to enroll in the university I have now, how would I do that? I don’t see anything on the universitaly page so I’m a bit confused about that.
Thank you!
If you are booked in another university than your first choice and want to enroll to this lower ranked university, you need to enroll on that university’s website.
Is there any chance of non EU scrolling for the IMAT?
Theoretically yes, but in practice it is extremely unlikely
Hi,I want to know that I am a non EU but I am legally residing in italy so that in what catagory of imat I apply EU or non EU
If you have a residence permit in Italy you are counted as EU
I am EU and got 56 so I just barely missed being booked into Cagliari. Do you think I will get a seat there through scrolling?
It is impossible to say for sure. However, there is a good chance based on how grades historically have changed during the scrolling, so make sure to remain in the rankings on Universitaly.
What is the IMAT cut off for Turin?
Turin has not yet released its non-EU rankings, they are having a delay. The EU cutoff you can see in the table above
There is a person who say I had scored 75.6 but in the non. EU ranking mentioned above he has scored only 23.00 .He said that his result when searched by barcode give 75.6. But when I searched in pdf of Bologna university mentioned above in non.EU it is different i.e. 23.00 .He said to me that the pdf you are having is not authentic and I has flight on 10 December. Who is correct ?????????
I am not sure if it is your score you are referring to or this other persons. However, the PDF for bologna is issued by the university itself. If your name (or this other persons name) has the word ‘Vincitore’ by it, then they have a place in Bologna as a non-EU.
People at Turin having a Kong sleep I guess??
Unfortunately yes, the university has stated they are having technical issues at the moment. All we can do is wait and hope they release it as soon as possible
I am a non eu student who scored 70.4 in the 2024 imat but couldn’t get into Padua . I had to cancel my pre enrollment for digital business and economics already sent to the embassy of my to prenroll for Padua. Since l didn’t make it is it possible to reinitiate my pre enrollment l once cancelled in the university of polytechnic Marche Ancona
You will need to check the pre-enrolment deadlines for the other degree that you applied for and see if it is still open
Is the Catania rankings 2024 out?
Not yet unfortunately
Hello! Is there a chance to enroll at a University that is lower on my list than the one to which I was accepted?
Unfortunately no, if you got accepted in a university, you cannot go to a university you ranked lower in your application

Hi! I got 44.10 as an eu. Do I have a chance to get in? ):
Unfortunately the chances are low, however, there is no harm in remaining in the rankings
I score 55.9 score in imat, is there any chance of admission???🥀Other than this, I was pre enrolled and booked in Naples fredio 2 before the test
If you are a non-EU you need to get a score high enough for the university you pre-enrolled for
I am non eu
Non-EU students can only be considered for the university they pre-enrolled for, so if you did not get into this university you unfortunately will not get in
Hey, I got 55.3, do you think I have any chance to get into any med school as an Eu? How much point will go down after scrolling?
Its impossible to promise anything, but I would say you have a chance, so I definitely recommend remaining in the rankings. How much the scores drop by varies year by year and also varies for each university.
Hello, will non-EU rankings change?
Unless someone does not accept their offer, the non-EU rankings do not change
Has the results for non-EU candidates published for Turin? Thank you.
Not yet unfortunately
Will you keep updating the ranking?
Yes sorry for the delay, I have updated them now
Thank you so much! Will you add also unfilled seats (as in round 2)? We have 60,6 and Pavia is our first choice. Do you think chances are high for another 0.1 cut off drop?
I have added the available places in now. As for predictions for Pavia, I would say there is a decent chance. But of course it is not possible to promise anything.
Thank you! 32 places left look encouraging for 0.1 drop. but indeed you never know
Lets hope for the best, I have my fingers crossed for you!
Will you kindly update the available seats? It went down to 60,6 which we have, but looks there are some more 60,6 above us in the ranking.
done
What’s the final expected cutoff for Turin this year??
I assume there is no such thing as final expected cutoff until it is a known final cutoff
Καλησπέρα σας, πιστεύετε πως το Μπάρι θα πέσει 0,5 ακόμα; Ευχαριστώ…
It is hard to say, but it is definitely possible that Bari will drop by this amount. Make sure to stay in the rankings
Will the IMAT 2025 be similar to the IMAT 2024?
The test specifications are not yet released for 2025, but we can assume for now the test will be similar.
Is another update following today?
I have updated the rankings now
Will the IMAT 2025 have similar high cut offs?
It depends on the level of difficulty of the questions. This year the biology section had very easy questions, which is why cut offs increased considerably compared to previous years.
Hi,
I am close to being booked to Cagliari as an EU student. Do I register on the university’s website or universitaly?
You need to enroll on the university website itself, in your case Cagliari’s website.
thank you very much!
I have just one more question:
Do I need to physically show up in person to complete my registration within the 4 day time frame? or is the 4 day dead line is just for registering online on the university’s website?
You enroll on the university website within the deadline
